Auto Body Repairs Must Make Economic and Safety Sense

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

Our L & H Auto Body employees, at our auto body shop in Evergreen and in Minturn, keep the customer’s best interests in mind in all phases of our work. We try to educate our customers and the insurance companies on the best approaches to auto body repair, and we are quick to advise them if we think something should be done differently or should not be done at all. Safety is our greatest concern, and economic value of potential repair work comes in a close second.

In most cases, our auto body repair shops can fix collision damage and return cars to customers in safer condition than they were in before the accident, but if we think there are potential safety issues surrounding the repairs recommended by an insurance company, we will let both the insurer and the customer know what our concerns are. If we would not want our own family members driving a car due to lingering safety concerns, we would not want our customers driving it, either.

We always consider the cost-effectiveness of our proposed work, whether it is major collision repairs, paintless dent removal, auto frame straightening, or auto body painting. If we can see that the car cannot be repaired at a cost that is less than the value of the car, we will let our customers and their insurance companies know that.

At L & H Auto Body, our company’s integrity is far more important to us than the dollars and cents that we can make on any individual car body repair. As a potential customer, you can be assured that we will watch out for your interests, both in terms of safety and cost. That is how we have stayed in business since 1948, and how we plan to stay in business for many years to come.

The 3 Major Concerns of Our Auto Body Repair Customers

Tuesday, March 27th, 2012

There are 3 major areas of concern that we hear repeatedly from our customers here at L & H Auto Body. These are concerns about our ability to get an exact auto body paint match for the damaged areas of the vehicle, concerns about the driveability of the vehicle after the repairs are completed, and concerns about our ability to repair frame damage the vehicle may have suffered in a collision. All of these are legitimate questions that we are confident we can address to the satisfaction of our auto body repair customers.

We use the latest waterborne painting systems for our auto body painting work, which are the same systems that auto manufacturers use in the original factory paint jobs on their cars. We are able to get an exact paint match that is truly spectacular. We can match all kinds of paints, including the pearl essence paints on high-end cars, so that you can’t tell the difference between the original paint and the paint on the repaired surfaces of the car.

We use the most advanced laser alignment machines to ensure that cars with suspension damage are perfectly aligned after we are finished with our repair work. When a car leaves our shop, it will handle as well as, or better than, it did before the accident.

In past years, a car with a bent frame was almost impossible to repair. But, today, our highly trained technicians using our sophisticated repair equipment can repair a damaged car frame so that it exceeds the original specs of some car manufacturers.

If you bring your car to us for collision repairs, you can be assured that we will return it to you in excellent condition, with matching paint, perfectly aligned wheels and a straight frame. We have auto body repair shops in Evergreen and Minturn to serve customers in all of the mountain communities west of Denver and in the Vail Valley.
